Yamaha recalls over three lakh 125cc scooters due to brake caliper issue
India Yamaha Motor has issued a voluntary recall campaign affecting more than three lakh units of its 125cc hybrid scooters. The recall concerns a potential malfunction in the front brake caliper found in certain production batches.
According to the company, a total of 3,06,635 scooters manufactured between May 2, 2024 and September 3, 2025 are covered under this action. The models involved are the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid.
Yamaha noted that the brake caliper in some units may not perform as intended under specific operating conditions. The manufacturer has stated that customer safety is the primary motivation behind the campaign. Affected scooters will receive a replacement part at no cost to the owner.
Customers can verify if their vehicle is included by entering the chassis number on the recall section of Yamaha India’s official website. Assistance is also available through authorised dealerships, Yamaha’s toll-free number and customer support email. The recall has come into effect immediately.
