Yamaha says the technology used in the Fascino 125 Hybrid will be carried forward to the Ray ZR 125 too
Yamaha has revealed the Fascino 125 Hybrid for India which features a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) to assist the petrol engine.
To be offered in both drum and disc brake variants, the Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid comes powered by a 125cc petrol engine good for 8.2 PS and 10.3 Nm of torque.
According to the Japanese automaker, the SMG functions as an electric motor to give a power assist when accelerating from a stop. When the engine revs exceed a set level, or about 3 seconds after starting, the power assist function will be cancelled.
Also, the SMG in the Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid enables the scooter to have a ‘Quiet Engine Start System’ and an automatic stop-start system.
The disc brake version of the Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid comes with features such as LED lighting units, a digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app.
As standard, both drum and disc brake variants of the scooter feature side stand engine cut-off switch, multi-function key with seat opener function and 21-litre under-seat storage, while an USB charger is optional.
Riding on 90/90-12 front tyre and a 110/90-10 rear tyre, the Fascino 125 Hybrid will be offered in a range of colours such as Cool Blue Metallic, Cyan Blue, Metallic Black Special, Suave Copper, Vivid Red Special, Yellow Cocktail, and more.
