
The Mitsubishi Pajero has undoubtedly been one of the most desirable SUVs and has been in the market since ages. These go anywhere – do anything monsters will now be seen wearing patriotic clothes helping out our Jawans at the Indo-China border at Sikkim. It took a lot of discussions and research for the Indian Army to finalize the Pajero. Basically the whole terrain near there is spread out over a distance of 60-70 km, the height rises from 15,000 feet to 19,000 feet. The Chinese army has rather an advantage as they reach the same heights but rising gradually over 140 kms. This puts considerable strain on army Jawans and their vehicles and equipment. HM-Mitsubishi Motors has launched the first chapter of its Pajero ‘Heart-in Mouth’ rally in Ludhiana. The rally provides owners of the Mitsubishi Pajero an opportunity to explore and experience the off-roading capabilities of the SUV which has the unique distinction of having won the world’s toughest car driving contest, the Dakar Rally, as many as 13 times. The rally was flagged off from the Hotel Sarovar Portico here at 8.30 a.m. The participants experienced 40.3 kms of intense off-road and extreme driving conditions through rocky and rugged terrains including dirt roads, mud, slush, loose sand, river beds of Sutlej with a water cross challenge, up-hill and downhill gradients, etc. [click to continue…]

HM-Mitsubishi has quietly launched the BS4 compliant Pajero. The company has decreased the power of the SUV to make it comply with stricter emission norms. The 2.8 liter IDI Turbo Diesel engine now produces 108hp of power and 260Nm of torque. Prices of the new version are yet to be revealed but we expect no price hike for the new model.
