Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse Rafale

Bugatti showed up at the São Paulo Motor Show with yet another super car from its stable- The Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Gris Rafale. It was more of a new paint on a Bugatti Veyron, but when it’s a Bugatti, it’s a head turner always. Bugatti’s Veyron Super Sport Vitesse boasts an 8.0-litre, 16-cylinder engine with four turbo chargers that give the car an overall 1200 HP. That makes the Vitesse, the fastest production roadster and recently Bugatti showed off a special edition version, dubbed the Gris Rafale.

The name given to this beast, Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ‘Gris Rafale’ is for its color that translates into grey burst. The light grey color found its way to the roof, air scoops and rear parts of the car and is met with a blue carbon fibre and a spoiler that reduces exterior noise. The interior of the Bugatti Vitesse Gris Rafale is in Navy blue with light grey stitching that spreads over the entire interior. It has a top speed of 410 km/h and reaches 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds.

This beast is certainly worth its price tag of $2.5 million or US$280,000 more than the ‘regular’ Veyron Grand Vitesse that comes to around Rs. 13.4 crores. Bugatti believes that the Grand Sport Vitesse is likely to be just as popular in South America as it has been elsewhere in the world, as the company has officially announced that it will be bringing the model to Brazil. Not wanting to merely send out a press release, the French super-car maker has gone and created a one-off Grand Sport Vitesse ‘Gris Rafale’ to mark the occasion.
