Yamaha R25 Launch Indonesia

One of the most awaited launches of 2014, Yamaha’s much hyped and loved R25 is still making news even months after launch. Keeping the buzz alive, the Japanese giant has now launched a new video of the R25 with none other than World MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi. The R25 and Rossi first appeared together in a video nearly 8 months ago on a race track, when the bike was still a concept and in the new video released by Yamaha, Rossi talks about his first experience and the excitement of that test ride.

The world champion further talks about the high performance engine, smooth handling, light body and the R DNA design while admiring the sharp lines of the R25. Clearly, the quarter-litre track scorcher has smitten everyone including the world champion. The R25 was launched earlier this year in Indonesia, with the country being the manufacturing hub for the bike globally. Keeping up with the demand, Yamaha takes just 3 minutes to roll out the quarter-litre machine from their assembly line.

The Yamaha R25 is powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC, 8-valve engine that produces 36 PS of power at 12,000 RPM and 22.6 Nm of torque at 10,000 RPM, paired to a 6-speed transmission. Suspension duties are performed by 41 mm telescopic front forks and a monocross setup at the rear. The R25 will be launched in India only by 2015 and will be locking horns with the KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Honda CBR300R. Expect a price tag of around Rs. 3 lakhs for this hot new Yamaha motorcycle which is sure to sell in good numbers in our country.
