The additional chrome on the grille will get more attention

The Kwid has been a fantastic volume spinner for Renault in India. It hasn’t received any changes apart from the special edition versions and additional engine, transmission updates since its launch. Now that the festive season is around the corner, the French carmaker is preparing to launch an updated version of the Kwid.

The MY 2019 model comes with some cosmetic changes and additional features that has been spied recently. On the outside, the most prominent update is the chrome finished grille that adds to the presence of the Kwid and makes it look wider.

There are new body graphics on the side profile while the rear remains more or less the same. Some of the additional features include reverse camera (first in segment), chrome door handles, rear arm rest and 12V charging socket for rear passengers.

The reverse parking camera is neatly integrated in the Renault logo on the tailgate. This might also be the new top of the line RxZ variant of the Kwid that Renault is preparing to launch for this festive season. The Kwid facelift with significant cosmetic and equipment updates is expected to launch next year, while this is the stop-gap measure until then.
