Renault has been testing the second facelift for the Duster for the Indian market. The French carmaker has no plans to introduce the second gen Duster in India which is currently on sale globally. However, the existing Duster is about to launch with some drastic changes. The upcoming model has been spotted undisguised.

The latest update for the Duster in India gets a revised front grille, which is larger and resembles the styling of the second gen Duster. The bonnet has been redesigned to meet the pedestrian safety norms. The headlamps feature projector units and LED DRLs. There is a new bumper up front with more rugged styling.

The side profile seems more or less the same apart from the new diamond cut alloy wheels. The blue colour on the test mule is new as well for the Indian market. The rear profile gets black cladding to boost the rugged appeal of the Duster. The interior will get some changes too including new colour theme and seat fabric.

The 2020 Renault Duster facelift is likely to offer new features such as sunroof, new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Dual front airbags, speed warning, parking sensors and ABS will come as standard across all variants.

Renault will be upgrading the 1.5-litre diesel and the petrol powerplants to comply with the BS6 norms. There will be safety upgrades too. Transmission options will remain unchanged including 5-speed manual petrol, 6-speed manual diesel, AMT diesel and CVT petrol. The new Duster is expected to launch later this year.
