The 2022 Maruti Celerio will be launched next month!
Maruti Suzuki will launch the 2022 Celerio on 10th November, 2021, in the India. The second-generation model of the hatchback is likely to begin arriving at dealerships from this month.
The hatchback’s introduction has been deferred a couple of times now thanks to COVID-19 and the resultant global semiconductor shortage.
Since the new generation Celerio will be introduced just after the festival of lights, buying sentiment should be high and Maruti will be looking make the most of it.
Regular readers of MotorBeam would know that the second-generation Celerio has been in development for quite some time. Test mules of the completely overhauled car have been spotted multiple times on Indian roads.
In addition, the car’s design patents got leaked online (we made our rendering of the new Celerio based on the same) and in August, images of red- and blue-coloured units of the production-spec car also surfaced online.
Based on the HEARTECT platform, the 2022 Maruti Celerio is bigger than the outgoing model and thus will be roomier inside and also sports a new and more rounded styling.
As with any new car, the new generation Celerio will also feature more goodies than its predecessor and, hopefully, it will keep its occupants safe as well.
The car is likely to come with the same powertrains as the Wagon R and should be priced aggressively.
