BMW F 450 GS Spotted Testing In India, Expected Price Starting From Rs. 4 Lakh (ex-showroom)
BMW Motorrad has been spotted testing the production version of the F 450 GS. The adventure touring bike’s concept was first seen at EICMA 2024 and will soon launch in India. For the first time, someone has spotted a test mule of the bike in Karnataka.
The F 450 GS has key design cues, making it part of the GS lineage. The silhouette roughly resembles the concepts seen in EICMA 2024 and Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It is observable that there is a 19-inch front wheel.
The suspension setup will feature an Upside-Down (USD) Fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The concept weighed 175 Kg, but the production version may weigh higher. Additionally, the bike will also feature load-dependent damping, prioritising rider comfort.
The F 450 GS will be powered by a new 450cc twin-cylinder engine producing 48 HP. The engineers will specifically tune the engine for strong mid-range performance. They will mate the engine to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch.
BMW will likely offer multiple premium options. TVS Motor Company will build the F 450 GS. We can safely assume that the price of the F 450 GS will be Rs. 4 Lakh (ex-showroom).
The adventure tourer will compete with strong offerings like the KTM Adventure 390, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. They will be the bike’s chief rivals, and it will be fascinating to observe how the adventure tourer is able to entice buyers away from the established and into the BMW family.
