Much like Ferrari, Maserati will be making a comeback to India and could appoint dealerships across the country as its sales and service partners.
After its first innings with private importer Shreyans Group proved to be disappointing with unhappy customers, Maserati has been planning to re-enter India and recently stated that it will be making a comeback to the market soon. The confirmation comes after its Maranello headquartered sibling Ferrari made its India plans official as it appointed two new dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai that will be handling the sales and service for new and existing customers.
Maserati stated that the company considers India to be one of the key growth markets for the automotive industry and as part of its growth strategy plans to reopen shop as soon as possible. Speaking on the time of launch, the exotic car maker said that while it is looking at a mid-2015 arrival in the country, it would be too early to confirm the set-up, structure and cooperation with other Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group brands. The automaker will be making an official announcement as soon as possible.
Maserati’s absolutely beautiful range of powerful cars comprise of the Quattroporte, GranTourismo, GranCabrio as well as the new Ghibli. The automaker already has a strong following in India and existing customers are sure to breathe a sigh of relief after the shoddy service Shreyans Group turned out to provide. Maserati will be bringing its entire range via the CBU route with prices for the models expected to start from Rs. 3 crores (ex-showroom) onwards.
