Maserati’s first dealership in Mumbai is located at the upcoming Taj hotel near the Mumbai domestic airport and will be run by Planet Petal of Ahmedabad.
Having made a glorious re-entry in India earlier this year, Maserati is expanding its presence in the country and is all set to open its first dealership in Mumbai having made its debut in the capital Delhi. The new dealership is located at the upcoming Taj-GVK hotel near the domestic airport in the city and will be run by the Ahmedabad-based company Planet Petal. In Delhi, AMP Supercars handles Maserati’s operations.
The new showroom is currently under development with the cars yet to be on display. However, pictures do show the variety of leather upholstery options that will be available for customers to choose from. The dealership will be displaying the automaker’s all four models including the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo and GranCabrio cabriolet, all of which are priced between Rs. 1.1-2.2 crores (ex-showroom).
Speaking of the Italian lineup, the Ghibli is Maserati’s entry level model in India and is offered only with a diesel engine. The four-door sedan uses a 3.0-litre oil-burner churning out 275 HP and 570 Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Next up is the Quattroporte which comes with V6 and V8 engine options with power output in the vicinity of 330-530 HP. There is also the V6 diesel on offer producing 275 HP of power.
Coming to the coupe models, the Maserati GranCabrio and GranTourismo use a naturally aspirated V8 motor under the hood with power output ranging between 405-460 HP. The luxury car and bike market has massively grown over the years with this alone saw Ferrari and Ducati making a comeback. In addition to Delhi and now Mumbai, the automaker is looking to open showrooms in Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
