Ford loves adding and deleting features from its products and it is that time of the year again. This time around, the company has added a touchscreen infotainment system to the EcoSport, apart from removing quite a few features from the equipment list. The mechanicals remain untouched.

The new touchscreen system is going to be offered on Titanium+ variants of both petrol and diesel engines. It is an 8-inch unit offering DVD playback, rear view camera, navigation, door ajar warning and also Bluetooth connectivity. Currently, the EcoSport gets a 3.5-inch screen on the centre console.

The Trend variant now loses out on reclining rear seats, rear defogger, vanity lamp, driver seat height adjust, 60:40 split rear seats, rear wiper and passenger seat storage box. The Trend+ variant also loses the 60:40 split seats, reclining rear seats and passenger seat storage box. However, the Trend+ does get black roof rails now. The Trend and Trend+ also come with an integrated centre armrest for the rear now.

Some other features like driver seat armrest, lumbar support, cooled glovebox, leather-wrapped gear knob and hand brake and chrome sill plates have been removed too. The touchscreen will have to be chosen by customers at the time of booking and will cost an additional Rs. 20,000/- over the price of the Titanium+ trim.
