Bajaj Auto has decided to launch new bikes after April 2020

Bajaj Auto officials have confirmed the launch of the Husqvarna brand after April 1, 2020. The Indian bike maker has decided to launch new products directly with BS6 compliant engines after the new emission norms kick in post April 1, 2020.

They were planning to introduce the Husqvarna brand this Diwali. However, all the products from the Bajaj Auto stable including KTM and Husqvarna will be launched next year. There will be a couple of updates until then but no new products will make it to the market from now until April.

New KTM models including 390 Adventure, 250 Adventure and new Bajaj Pulsar as well as Dominar variants are in the pipeline. They will commence production of BS6 products November onwards.

The introduction of new bikes will accelerate post BS6 because Bajaj doesn’t want to handicap an absolutely new product with BS6 cost while competing with BS4 players.

Husqvarna production in India will begin by the end of this year and they will commence exports soon after. The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 will be the first two products from the brand in India.
