Japan is reeling under its worst disaster since the world war and its effect is being felt globally. Japanese manufacturers in India are facing supply constraints as parent companies are shut due to the recent earthquake and tsunami.

Short supply of spares will hamper production in the near future. Amongst those affected are Honda, which imports parts for the Accord and Maruti Suzuki, which import and engines and other parts for its models in India.

Maruti Suzuki has also canceled celebrating their 1,00,00,000th car roll out today.
