The company will make changes to its existing dealerships to accommodate the new Prime Zone.
Mahindra is working hard to change its image from a regular car-maker to a premium manufacturer. The company has lined up multiple premium products that will be introduced in the coming months. Only yesterday the official name of its U321 MPV was announced to be the ‘Marazzo’. There’s also a rebadged new generation Rexton waiting to be unveiled by the end of this year.
To separate these products from the regular offerings, there will be a Mahindra Prime Zone that will be made inside its present dealerships. Not only will this help Mahindra save on building brand-new dealerships like the Maruti NEXA, it will also allow them to make all the premium new models be simultaneously available across India.
The Mahindra Prime Zone will get a different design theme than the rest of the showroom. There will also be a virtual reality facility to allow the customers to view their cars with different accessories and colours. The yet to be named Mahindra S201 compact SUV might also get featured in the Prime Zone.
Personalising the vehicles is an increasing trend in India and the manufacturers are doing their best to allow the buyers to customise their cars prior to the delivery itself. With the Mahindra Prime Zone, the company might be looking to have a provision for such an offering for the customers.
Mahindra has played it smart by going for an arrangement where all its products get showcased under a single roof. It will be easier for the customers to go through the entire portfolio in one go instead of going to different places. The virtual reality would be something new to look forward to and we are sure that the mass market passenger car buyers will be delighted.
