Mahindra Qualcomm partnership will help Scorpio N become 1 of the most feature-loaded SUVs in its segment

Mahindra has entered into a partnership with renowned chip maker Qualcomm to improve the Scorpio N’s embedded electronics in the near future. As per the agreement, Qualcomm will work together with automotive electronics company Visteon Corporation.

The duo will bring about new features to Mahindra’s upcoming third generation Snapdragon Cockpit platform for the Scorpio N. The said platform will support high levels of computing and intelligence for breakthrough features especially with respect to safety.

Some of the core features that will be introduced include driver monitoring, object detection, and technologies to ensure the security of personal and vehicle data.

An advanced suite of wireless technologies that include multi-mode cellular connectivity, wifi 6, enhanced Bluetooth connectivity, a virtual assistant, and high definition video playback will also be a part of the upcoming package.

The partnership might also see the induction of advanced telematics, digital cockpit solutions, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), basic autonomous driving technologies, cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X), and car-to-cloud solutions on to the SUV.

As of date, the newly launched Scorpio N gets a 7-inch instrument cluster and an 8-inch infotainment system with navigation.

The infotainment system and instrument cluster get AdrenoX connected car AI technology from Bosch India to deliver seamless connectivity and enhanced user experience. There are more than 70 features on offer.

The current features include Amazon Alexa built-in, what3words (w3w) – Alexa enabled, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Sony 3D Immersive Audio with 12 speakers, dual-channel sub-woofer, and dual front and rear camera.
