Mahindra XUV500 Review
The Mahindra XUV500 doesn’t get AWD anymore

Mahindra has updated their official website and it is now showing details of the XUV500 BS6. The Mahindra XUV500 comes powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine which is now BS6 compliant and it produces 154 HP and 360 Nm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic which is a torque convertor unit.

The Mahindra XUV500 BS6 comes with similar features as the BS4 model but it loses out on the AWD function which was earlier available. The W3 base variant has also been discontinued now. The XUV500 is now available in the following variants – W5, W7, W9, W11(O), W7 AT, W9 AT and W11(O) AT. The XUV500 used to get a petrol engine too which isn’t available now.

Prices for the 2020 Mahindra XUV500 aren’t available yet. Mahindra’s website states that due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak, production of vehicles has been delayed and BS6 vehicles aren’t available at the moment.
