Hero MotoCorp has revealed the XPulse 200 specs on the official website

The Hero XPulse is about to get a BS6 update soon. While the launch is expected to happen soon after the lockdown is over, the specifications of the updated engine has been revealed officially.

The adventure motorcycle now makes less power and torque output. The 199.6cc engine was air-cooled but now is an oil-cooled unit. It produces 17.8 BHP at 8500 RPM and 16.4 Nm at 6500 RPM in BS6 avatar.

The BS4 engine in comparison churned out 18.4 BHP at 8000 RPM and 17.1 Nm at 6500 RPM. The engine is paired with the same 5-speed gearbox.

The drop in power output is relatively considerable for a BS6 update. The Indian bike maker has also made some tweaks to the exhaust system with new cat-con and rerouting for lower emissions.

The header pipe now goes from under the engine instead of side. However, the ground clearance remains unchanged but the weight has increased by 3 kgs.

There are no other changes to the Hero XPulse in the BS6 update. The styling and the list of features remain unchanged. Expect marginal price hike compared to the BS4 version.
