The F3 800 ABS could be the second offering from MV Agusta to be launched in India and will be an absolute track scorcher powered by a three-cylinder engine.

The F3 800 uses a 798cc 3-cylinder engine producing 148 HP of power & 88 Nm

2015 is surely the year of the Italians arriving in India as MV Agusta will be the next auto manufacturer to make its debut in the market after the re-entry of Ducati, Maserati and Ferrari. The legendary motorcycle maker known for the super sharp bikes and styling will be commencing operations this November in partnership with Kinetic Group and will introduce its entire range over the next couple of years. While the Brutale 1090 street-fighter has already landed on domestic shores, MV Agusta has now imported the F3 800 ABS supersport motorcycle in the country.

Boasting of absolutely lethal looks, the MV Agusta F3 800 ABS is not very different from a bullet in appearance with the sweptback aerodynamic lines help you hit a top speed of 269 km/hr. The supersport is powered by a 798cc three-cylinder engine that is tuned to produce 148 HP of power at 13,000 RPM and 88 Nm of torque at 10,600 RPM, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are performed by the 43 mm Marzocchi USD front forks with 125 mm travel and a Sachs monoshock setup at the rear with 123 mm travel. The braking system comes courtesy of Brembo with 320 mm twin discs at the front and 220 mm single disc at the rear. The fuel tank capacity stands at 16.5-litres.

The MV Agusta F3 800 comes with a dry weight of 173 kgs and comes with a power-to-weight ratio of 1.17 HP/kg. Keeping the supersport stable are a host of electronics including the Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS) platform combining electronic control of throttle and traction control. The short 1380 mm wheelbase and a tubular steel Trellis frame ensure exceptional handling capabilities on the F3. Ensuring uninterrupted levels of traction are the 120/70/R17 front and 180/55/R17 rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres, while ABS will keep things under check.

When launched in India, the MV Agusta F3 800 ABS will be locking horns with compatriot Ducati Panigale 899 in the segment as well as the Triumph Daytona 675. The pricing though will be as exceptional as the bike and can be close to Rs. 15 lakhs (ex-showroom). The launch date on most Agusta models is very much under wraps but one can expect the Brutale 1090 and F3 800 to arrive in the country this fiscal, while other products will follow up.
