The new Pulsar series of bikes will be sold through Bajaj Auto’s official distributor HH Bajaj with a monthly sales target of 1000 units.

Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Nepal Launch
The RS 200 is the flagship Pulsar using a 199.5cc FI engine to produce 24.5 PS & 18.6 Nm

Expanding its market base for the new Pulsar range, Bajaj Auto has launched the RS 200, AS 200 and AS 150 in Nepal and will be retailing the bikes through the automaker’s official distributor HH Bajaj. The Indian two-wheeler maker already retails its entire range including the KTM Duke 200 and 390 in the neighbouring country and the new entry-level performance motorcycles are a nice addition to the growing market. Exported from Bajaj Auto’s facility in Chakan, the bikes get no changes for the Nepalese version over the India spec models.

Starting with the flagship and the first full faired Pulsar, the RS 200 comes with a host of features including projector lamps, LED parking lights, clear lens LED tail lights, 300 mm front disc brake and optional single-channel ABS system. The new Pulsar series is based on a perimeter frame and uses telescopic forks at the front and a Nitrox monoshock suspension setup at the rear. Power comes from a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine under the belly that has been fuel injected on the RS 200 to produce 24.5 PS and 18.6 Nm of torque, while the same motor remains carbureted on the AS 200 to produce 23.5 PS and 18.3 Nm of torque. Both the models get a 6-speed gearbox.

The Bajaj Pulsar AS 150 derives its styling from the AS 200 but uses a 149.5cc motor to produce 17 PS and 13 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Both the AS models also get a single-lens projector headlamp for better illumination. HH Bajaj conveyed that while the RS 200 will make a statement among bike enthusiasts, the AS 200 and 150 models are targeted at those looking for affordable adventure motorcycles. The distributor currently retails 2700 Pulsar series bikes in Nepal in the domestic market every month and is aiming to sell 1000 units of the RS 200 and AS series monthly.
