Porsche India has launched a new Assured Buyback Programme for customers purchasing select models in the country. The scheme is available at the time of buying the vehicle and is designed to provide greater certainty about its future resale value. The buyback service will be facilitated through a partner company associated with Porsche.
The programme is currently available for the Cayenne, Macan Electric and Taycan. It is valid for up to 36 months from the date of purchase and is based on a pre-determined future value that is fixed when the customer buys the vehicle.
According to Porsche, if the vehicle’s resale value after three years is lower than the pre-agreed amount, the programme will cover the difference. Under the scheme, eligible customers can receive up to 70 percent of the vehicle’s original purchase price after 36 months, subject to the programme’s terms and conditions.
Assured buyback programmes have become increasingly common among premium and mass-market car manufacturers in India. These initiatives are intended to reduce uncertainty around vehicle depreciation and offer customers greater confidence when purchasing a new vehicle.
Other manufacturers also offer similar ownership programmes. Jeep’s Confidence 7 programme promises a buyback value of up to 60 percent of the original ex-showroom price, while Volkswagen recently introduced an assured buyback option with the facelifted Taigun, offering up to 75 percent of the ex-showroom price for eligible customers over a period of three years or 30,000 km.
With the introduction of this programme, Porsche joins a growing list of manufacturers offering guaranteed resale value schemes to enhance the ownership experience for buyers.
