Bajaj Auto has launched the third colour option after the red and yellow on the new RS 200, a matte black with red body decals and calls it ‘Demon Black’.

A premium price tag has not been announced for the Demon Black RS 200

Bajaj Auto’s newest flagship, the Pulsar RS 200 went on sale in March this year but was available only in two shades namely red and yellow due to production capacity constraints. There has been a blue shade too but the automaker has reserved it for export markets at present. However, black has been a strongly associated colour with the Pulsar series which was sorely missed on the new model. Nonetheless, Bajaj has finally answered to all queries and has officially introduced the new Demon Black shade for the RS 200.

With tagline going ‘Fear the Black’ the new Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 looks stunning with the matte black paint job with contrasting red and grey body decals that accentuate the lines well. For a lot of customers who found the yellow shade too loud and the red shade too dull, the black emerges as the perfect option and also manages to hide some of that bulk on the bike. The new shade also complements the black plastic on the lower body while the exhaust tip has been finished in a darker shade of gunmetal grey.

In terms of mechanicals, the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 Demon Black gets no changes and continues to draw power from the same 199.5cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine producing 24.5 PS of power at 9750 RPM and 18.6 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike gets telescopic front forks with a monoshock setup at the rear while braking performance comes from 300 mm single front disc (largest in the segment) and a 230 mm rear disc brake. A Bosch sourced single-channel ABS unit is being offered as optional on the Race Sport Pulsar.
