RE Meteor Production Version
More chrome touches should have enhanced the looks further

The photos of a black Royal Enfield Meteor surface, and this time with no camouflage. The Royal Enfield Meteor has been spotted multiple times in the past year, and it seems to be production-ready now.

For physical changes, the Chennai-based giant has tweaked the bodywork vastly. The tank gets a new tear-drop design, while the mirrors and indicators seem to be old-school. The Meteor retains the round headlamp, but it could get an LED DRL ring around it to give it a modern touch.

As the BS6 norms kick in, the Royal Enfield Meteor will get a brand new 350cc engine and a double-cradle chassis. Whereas there is no word on the performance figures, we expect the Meteor to be much smoother than the current-gen Royal Enfield Thunderbird.

Coming to other changes, the Royal Enfield Meteor will feature a digital-analogue speedometer, new and wider seats, and a dual-channel ABS setup may also be present. While the gloss black paint looks good, the engine and the rear suspension are silver to give it a contrasting look. Images of the RE Meteor production version were leaked earlier too, giving us an idea of how the motorcycle will look.

The Royal Enfield Meteor is likely to replace the vibrant Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X. We expect the Meteor to come at a premium of about Rs. 20,000/- over the current-gen Thunderbird 350X. We await the launch eagerly as Royal Enfield have said that the Meteor serves as a stepping stone for an all-new motorcycle platform.
