Regal Raptor and FAB Motors and planning to set up a manufacturing facility and open as many as 16 new dealerships across different cities in the country.
America based motorcycle maker Raptor Regal had recently entered the Indian two-wheeler market with three custom bikes – Spyder 350, Bobber 350 and Daytona 350, when the company opened its first showroom in Hyderabad. The motorcycles are not manufactured in our country but are imported as CBU units. The manufacturing plant for these bikes is located in Shanghai, China from where the the company exports its motorcycles to 39 other countries as well. Raptor Regal is selling its bikes in India in collaboration with FAB (Fabulous And Beyond) Motors.
For their future plans, the two companies are planning to invest Rs. 1000 crores in a manufacturing plant near the city of Hyderabad, where its first showroom was recently inaugurated. The exact location for the facility is yet to be finalised and Regal Raptor will be bearing a portion of the required investment. The new manufacturing plant will create direct and indirect employment for around 25,000 people to make the three cruisers that are retailed in India.
FAB Motors also said that they have exclusive manufacturing rights to produce Regal Raptor motorcycles in India and eight other neighbouring countries including Nepal, Sri Lanka, UAE, Pakistan, Bhutan, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The company is also planning an onrush of dealerships and distribution activities in cities like Bangalore, New Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Delhi, Mumbai, Vizag, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Goa, Pondicherry and Bhopal to establish themselves well in the Indian market and also make their motorcycles more accessible.
