Thought to be an upcoming UM Renegade series model, the Regal Raptor DD125E made its appearance in a video besides the Romet ADV 125. Although, it is not clear yet whether the bike was being tested or was personally imported.

Regardless of whether the bike was being tested or not, this instance added with the fact that Regal Raptor has already launched three bikes in India in partnership with FAB Motors from Hyderabad gives rise to the possibility of this bike hitting the Indian streets. Regal Raptor has previously launched the Daytona 350, the Cruiser 350 and the Bobber 350 in India back in 2015.

Coming back to the bike seen in this video, the Regal Raptor DD125E could be a fair competition to the likes of the Suzuki Intruder 150. This bike is equipped with a 125cc parallel-twin engine with a liquid-cooling system and Delphi EFI. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and makes 11 PS of power at 9500 RPM. The company claims that the bike has a mileage of 41.42 km/l,

The kerb weight of this bike while it is unladen is 170 kgs and the fuel tank capacity is 14-litres. This bike gets a 15-inch rear wheel that is inside a 130/90 mm tire and an 18-inch front alloy that gets a 90/90 mm tire around it. The DD125E has a saddle height of 700 mm and a wheelbase of 1550 mm.

The pricing of the bike will be a major factor of this bike’s fate in the Indian market. There are two factors which will affect that the most. The first one being the engine construction. This type of engine construction is rarely seen on a bike with such a small displacement. That might pull the price tag higher. The other factor is whether the bike arrives as a CKD or a CBU unit. That being said, the bike might be able to make it in the Indian market if it is priced aggressively.
