Piaggio India will start manufacturing the scooter at its Baramati plant in Maharashtra.

To come with a price tag of Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom) and some dealers have already started accepting bookings too.

The Italian manufacturer is looking to step up their scooter game as they plan on launching the SXR 160 by November.

The special edition variant is based on the SXL 125 and SXL 150 models.

A concept for now, it would be an interesting proposition if it is put into production.
