Tata updates the Harrier with Royale Blue & Tropical Mist colours, the range starts at Rs. 14.64 lakhs

After launching the much-hyped Kaziranga Edition a couple of months back, Tata has now added 2 more colours, Royale Blue and Tropical Mist shade to its popular SUV, Harrier.

With this, there are now 7 colours on offer for the SUV namely Grassland Beige (Kaziranga Edition), Oberon Black (Dark Edition), new Royale Blue and Tropical Mist, Calypso Red, Orcus White, and Daytona Grey.

Except for the addition of new colours, no changes have been made to the SUV. Based on Tata’s Impact 2.0 design language, the Harrier gets huge body panels on the lines of the Land Rovers from which it’s inspired from.

Upfront, the Xenon HID projector headlamps are stacked along with the fog lamps as clusters on both the sides while LED drls sit above them as separate units. The drls also go in line with the flow of the front grille.

The 3D LED tail lamps are fused with the large piano black strip at the busy rear. Riding on a ‘D8’ monocoque frame borrowed from the Land Rover as against Tata’s usual ladder frames in the price range, the Harrier is made of high tensile steel with efficiently designed crumple zones.

Tata claims, this D8 platform not only offers enhanced driving dynamics but a less harsh and quieter ambience inside.

The interior features a prominent Oak Brown dashboard with a host of features. It gets a 8.8-inch floating island infotainment system with 9 JBL speakers. The system also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Other features include powered driver seat, ventilated front row seats, rain-sensing wipers, reverse parking camera with sensors, air purifier, chilled center arm rest cup holders, and auto headlamps among others.

Power comes from a lone 2-litre 4-cylinder FCA Italy-sourced diesel engine that produces 170 HP and 350 Nm mated either to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

There are a total 23 variants on offer with a starting price of Rs. 14.64 lakhs and going up to Rs. 21.94 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom).
