Ceramic coating protects the paintwork for an extended period of time

Tata Motors has announced it will offer ceramic coating service for the 2021 Safari SUV starting today.

The automaker states this offering is an industry first which can be availed of at a price of Rs. 28,500/- (inclusive of GST) across all of its authorised dealerships in the nation.

The Tata Safari ceramic coating uses an advanced hydrophilic formulation technology used by hypercar manufacturers and in the aerospace industry, says the carmaker.

To put it simply, the ceramic coating forms a hardened finished on top of the paintwork and will protect the paint from animal matter, acid rain, solvents, among other things, while also helping reduce oxidation and corrosion.

It also has self-cleaning properties and thus, can be used to protect glass, plastic parts, alloys and even leather or vinyl. Tata says it has collaborated with car care companies to bring in this service in house and adds that it will extend it to all of its passenger vehicles soon.

Furthermore, Tata Motors is also providing additional value added services such as Pentacare Extended Warranty and Value Care Maintenance Plan for the 2021 Safari.

Under the Pentacare extended warranty, the 2021 Safari can be had with up to 5 years and unlimited km warranty. Two other options – 2+1 years/1.15 lakh km and 2+2 years/1.30 lakh km – are also available for customers to choose.

Any breakdown related to the malfunctioning of the clutch and suspension are also covered under the extended warranty for up to 50,000 km.

There are 3 plans namely Value Care Gold, Value Care Promise to Protect and Value Care Silver that come under the Value Care Maintenance Plan, which Tata says guarantee protection against unexpected repair costs.
