August 2023 top 25 car sales list revealed, contributes to 75 percent of the cars sold last month. In this list you will notice 10 models from Maruti Suzuki, 5 from Mahindra, 4 from Hyundai and Tata each while only one from Kia and Toyota.

As always, Maruti Suzuki dominated the chart with 10 models in the list and the top 4 positions with Maruti Swift, Baleno, Wagon R and Brezza. Tata Punch and Hyundai Creta break the Maruti streak with 5th and 6th spots.

After the Hyundai Creta, Maruti domination continues again with 5 positions one after the other including Dzire, Ertiga, Fronx, Eeco and Grand Vitara taking 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th spots.

12th and 13th position is taken by Hyundai Venu and Kia Seltos, followed by Mahindra Scorpio on 14th. Surprisingly Maruti Alto continues to dwindle in the lower half of the table, it takes the 15th spot, usually it used to hover in the top 5 positions.

Tata Tiago posts strong YoY growth at 16th position, Mahindra Bolero takes the 17th spot, while the Toyota Innova brothers hold the 18th position. The Tata Nexon and Altroz are at 19th and 20th, we believe the Nexon will shoot up in the top 5 spots with the new facelift launch.

Hyundai Exter continues with a strong number of 7430 units in the 21st spot while the Grand i10 Nios follows closely in the 22nd spot. Last three positions are held by Mahindra with XUV700, Thar and XUV300 occupying the 23rd, 24th and 25th positions.
