Toyota Parts Connect Online Portal
Toyota authorised dealers will be responsible for delivering ordered items

Toyota Kirloskar Motors has started sale of spare parts online via its online portal www.toyotapartsconnect.in to facilitate distribution of Toyota genuine spare parts and accessories for its different models in India. The online service started in Bengaluru on Thursday and will gradually expand to other metros by 2016. Toyota will become the first original equipment manufacturer in the Indian Auto Industry to come up with such an idea. As a part of this programme, the company will be selling over 400 frequently changed spare parts such as brake pads, clutch plates, air filters, oil filters, wipers along with 30 other accessories. This will help and reduce the visits made to an authorised service centre in case something goes wrong with any minor parts.

Toyota will be making available spare parts of all its existing models along with the once popular MPV the Qualis as they are no longer obliged to sell its spares under the law. Toyota also feels that the Indian digital commerce is growing at a fast pace and that this was the right time to launch such an initiative. The Japanese carmaker wants to address changing customer requirements and continuously bring newness to their products and services. They want to give their dealers a chance to get closer to those customers who are on the verge of moving away and making them loyal.

The buyer can have the ease of finding the part he needs with the help of different search options, multiple checkpoints to choose the right parts and selecting the nearest Toyota dealership that will be then responsible for delivering the items. To ensure safety of its customers, they have also enclosed a fitment instruction manual for key parts. Toyota also has one of the best supply rates of spare parts and supplies them twice a day to all metro cities with an efficient supply and logistics network. Toyota is a joint venture between Japanese cars giant Toyota Motors and Kirloskar Group in which the former holds 89 percent stake.
