Triumph has confirmed that the new Daytona will be more powerful than both the Daytona 675R and the Street Triple RS.

2020 Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition
Might offer cornering ABS, cornering traction control and slide control settings

Triumph has affirmed that a Moto2 inspired model, named Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition will see the light of production soon. The upcoming supersport motorcycle will be produced in 2 variants, one for Asia and Europe and the other for Canada and the USA. Production for each market will be capped to just 765 bikes.

The Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition will be the most powerful Daytona ever built. Triumph has confirmed that the new Daytona will have notably more power output than both the Daytona 675R and the Street Triple RS. It will be lighter while proving an improved power-to-weight ratio than the old Daytona 675R.

Engine duties on the Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition will be somewhere around 130-135 PS as the engine on offer will be in line with the 765cc, 3-cylinder motor that does duty on the Street Triple RS. Yes, the motor on the RS offers 121 PS, but for this special edition, expect Triumph to keep the figures close to the race-tuned Moto2 765.

The production-spec Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition will be revealed at the British MotoGP at Silverstone on August 23. One can expect 5 riding modes- road, rain, sport, rider and track as well as a TFT screen with a contemporary electronics package. Spy shots of the new Daytona 765 reveal Ohlins fork and monoshock, while braking duties are likely to be done by Brembo Stylema radial calipers. Expect cornering ABS, cornering traction control and slide control settings on offer. A bi-directional quickshifter might be offered as standard.

It is likely that the new Triumph Daytona 765 Limited Edition will arrive in India in the first half of 2020 with quite an expensive price tag.
