The Volkswagen Polo 1.0-litre petrol has been launched in India with prices unchanged. So, the Polo Trendline starts at Rs. 5.41 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine replaces the 1.2-litre MPI petrol motor in the Polo. The new engine produces 1 BHP more while the torque goes down by 15 Nm when compared to the 1.2-litre MPI engine.

The new 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated 3-cylinder MPI petrol powertrain makes 75 HP of power at 6200 RPM and 95 Nm of torque at 3000-4300 RPM.
