The fairing does look good, but Yamaha could have designed the headlight section even better by covering the gaps

An invite from Yamaha says it will unfold a brand new chapter on its journey on the 21st of August which is likely to be the launch of the new Fazer 250 in the Indian market.

The Indian folks had a lot of expectations from the Fazer 250 given that this is a motorcycle based on the popular FZ25. The FZ25 isn’t a benchmark in its segment but is surely a great value for money proposition considering the fact it’s a 250cc motorcycle and comes priced at just Rs. 1.19 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The FZ25 is the most affordable 250cc motorcycle you can buy today in the Indian market.

The only distinguishing factor between the FZ25 and Fazer 250 has to be the full fairing. Rest all the parts like suspension, brakes, alloy wheels, exhaust and even the engine are a straight lift from the FZ25.

Talking of the engine the Fazer 250 draws power from the same 249cc single-cylinder engine that powers the FZ25 which makes the same 21 HP and 20 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Since the clearer spy shots of the Fazer 250 have surfaced, social media has been abuzz with a lot of personal opinions and comments on the motorcycle with a majority of them disliking the motorcycle’s front-end design.

The Pulsar RS 200 rival is expected to be priced at a premium of Rs. 10-15,000/- over its street-fighter sibling. However, we are yet to see the motorcycle in person, probably up close it might look good. Let’s wait till next week then.
