The 2022 Maruti Celerio variants have the usual nomenclature given to grades of affordable models
The 2022 Maruti Celerio is set to be offered in 7 variants (4 with a manual gearbox and 3 with the automated manual transmission (AMT)) and as many as 6 colour options.
On Tuesday, the nation’s top automaker had announced the commencement of bookings for the new generation Celerio which will be launched on the 10th of this month.
Set to be powered by a new 1.0-litre K-Series Dual Jet, dual VVT engine, the 2022 Celerio will be offered in variants such as LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+.
All these variants will be equipped with a 5-speed transmission and idle stop-start feature. The 5-speed AMT option will be offered only in the VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ grades.
As for colour options, the new Celerio will come in Arctic White, Caffeine Brown, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver, Solid Fire Red and Speedy Blue shades.
Sporting a new design inside and out, the car will have features like an infotainment touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, keyless entry, push button start/stop, and more.
Maruti claims the vehicle will be the most fuel-efficient petrol car sold in India. It should be priced more than its predecessor which cost between Rs. 4.66 lakhs and Rs. 6 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
