The Bajaj-Triumph JV is about to come up with a concrete conclusion

Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto had announced their partnership back in August 2017. The joint venture between the British and Indian bike makers intends to produce mid-displacement motorcycles. It has been close to two years since we haven’t heard anything from both the companies until now.

Bajaj Auto’s executive director Rakesh Sharma has said that their talks with Triumph have reached advanced stages and they will reach to a positive conclusion in the coming months. We expect the JV to reveal a concept of the product at the 2020 EICMA show.

In this joint venture, Triumph Motorcycles will focus on developing the upcoming motorcycle, while Bajaj Auto will handle the manufacturing of the product. Local production will result in lower and competitive pricing of the motorcycle. Although, it is unlikely that the final product will be revealed anytime earlier than mid-2021.
