Mercedes has launched a new after sales service plan for India called ‘My Mercedes-My Service’. The initiative introduces different service packages and other technological aids to augment the customer’s experience.
Mercedes is one of the leading luxury sedan seller in India. The company now aims to further boost its goodwill and reputation by launching the ‘My Mercedes-My Service’ initiative. The offering includes Digital Service Drive, Premier Express Service, and Star Ease. The Indian market, thus becomes the 2nd in the world after the US to receive the Digital Service Drive technology. A service which enables the customers to book a schedule for their car’s service in real time.
The Premier Express Service, as the name suggests will provide the fastest service for ones car. Mercedes boasts of a 2-hour service time under this scheme, which is achieved by delegating duties to three specially trained technicians who will work against a countdown timer. The service however, will only be available for regular maintenance repairs. Also, AMG vehicles will not be included for the Premier Express Service package.
The Star Ease feature meanwhile, offers the customer 45 service packages to choose from which start at a price of Rs. 49,000/-. Another segment first is the presence of an online calculator which will help the customers to check the costs and choose the right plan as per his/her individual usage.
Mercedes will also be launching a video call service which will help the customers stay updated about the work done on their vehicles. This will also promote the transparent nature of the organisation. Moreover, all the above mentioned services will be transferable with the car. This will alleviate any worries regarding maintenance that may creep up in a second hand buyer’s head. It may also increase the resale value of the cars.
