Royal Enfield Scrambler Spotted
The handlebar on the new RE scrambler looks more upright when compared to the standard Classic and Bullet

For those who have been thinking the 650 twins (Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650) would be the next big launch by Royal Enfield, well, you’re wrong! A Classic-based scrambler bike has been spotted at a dealership and is likely to be launched in India in the coming weeks/months. We suppose that this isn’t a dealer level modification.

The image has been shared by Royal Enfield Bullet Club and some parts of the bike are covered. However, the side profile reveals some interesting bits about the new bike. For starters, the front suspension gets rubber fork covers like we’ve seen on the Bullet Electra but the headlamp retains the round shape. The design of the fuel tank is identical to the Classic but there is a decal or a sticker on the air filter box which isn’t clear. The upswept exhaust, luggage carrier and the dual purpose rear tyre are the distinctive cycle parts that the new scrambler gets.

The engine specifications aren’t known yet but expect the Eicher-owned company to roll out the scrambler in 350cc and 500cc versions. Royal Enfield’s latest launches in India were the X versions of the Thunderbird 350 and 500. So after Thunderbird, seems it’s the Classic’s turn now.
