BMW Motorrad alliance with TVS will see a new bike to be revealed soon.
The TVS-BMW collaboration has seen the launch of BMW G 310 R, BMW G 310 GS and the TVS Apache RR 310 in the previous year. With all these bikes making a huge impact in the Indian 2-wheeler market in the previous years, we expect the upcoming TVS bike to have the same impact on the market as well.
This will be the second bike from TVS Motor under the partnership with BMW after the RR 310 and will be launched later in the financial year. The company is currently going under a period of slowdown and expects to pick up the pace in the festive period. With new introductions and better market outlook this year, the company is expecting a steady single-digit growth and expects to outpace the market growth.
FY2019 saw the company add 150 dealerships in the market and with the government’s request to revise the GST rates from 28 percent to 18 percent, the 2-wheeler companies are expecting more sales. Apart from the new bike from the TVS-BMW alliance, TVS Motor will retain the moped and will comply with the new BS6 norms. But with the new BS6 technology, the prices of the mopeds may see a significant increase.
