Yamaha has also unveiled special edition models of the FZ16, FZ-S and the Fazer. The special edition bikes are available in special paint scheme with white alloys and a dash of blue. These special editions are limited in number with only 3000 models to be produced. The special edition FZ16 is priced at Rs. 66,500/- while the special edition models of the FZ-S and Fazer are priced at Rs. 68,500/- and Rs. 73,500/- respectively (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Yamaha is hoping to grab 10% market share in India by 2012.
“I am hopeful that these bikes will get the same kind of enthusiastic response as our recently-launched other products got. The company has registered a year-on-year growth of 80% during the month of January to August and we expect the coming months to be also fruitful,” Yamaha India MD and CEO Yuki Mine Tsuji said.
